Translational Studies

Across our translational studies, we collect tissue and blood samples from both preclinical models and human subjects to study atrial fibrosis and cardiac aging. Sample collection is coordinated with cardiac MRI and multi-omic profiling (ATAC-seq/RNA-seq, spatial transcriptomics, mass spectrometry), allowing us to correlate imaging, histologic, and molecular findings within and across studies. This integrated approach lets us translate mechanistic findings from model tissue into human blood- and imaging-based correlates.
